About this session
Yoga + Soundbath in the Garden
Yoga in the Garden begins with a gentle and inclusive hour-long yoga practice led by instructor Melanie Maltais. You are encouraged to embrace the beauty of silence during the session, allowing for a deeper connection with breath and sensation. If any movements do not suit you, you are free to modify poses, rest, sit, or lie down at any time. All are welcome as they are.
Following a quick break, participants will settle in for a rejuvenating hour-long sound bath. Using instruments tuned to healing frequencies, the sound bath offers a full-body reset to relax the mind, body and spirit. The gentle yoga beforehand allows for the vibrations to resonate more deeply, enhancing the benefits of the sound experience.
Together, these experiences are designed to support nervous system regulation, inner stillness and deep relaxation.
Includes yoga, sound bath and admission to the Garden.
What to expect
Arrival and settling in
You set up your mat, get comfortable, and we do a brief grounding check-in. I'll explain the instruments and what to expect. No pressure, no performance.
The journey
I layer sounds, building and releasing in waves. Your only job is to breathe and let go. Thoughts will come. That's normal. Let them drift past like clouds.
The close
I bring the volume and intensity down gradually, ending in near-silence.
Integration time
A few minutes of quiet silence before anyone moves. Then we come back slowly together.
What to bring
Registration, props and venue details come from the host studio.
- A blanket — your body temperature drops when you relax deeply
- Water for after
- An open mind — that's genuinely all you need
