Back 2 Basics Community Sound Bath · Session 1
Sound bath · sound therapy · singing bowls · gong · Edmonton
About this session
An elegant, effective community sound bath at an accessible cost — a spacious venue, a small team guiding the experience, and room to simply rest.
This is the 4:00–5:00 pm session (doors 3:40). A second session runs 5:30–6:30 pm.
Please bring your own mat, pillow and blankets — the thicker and cozier the better. A preparation email with all the details follows your registration.
What to expect
Arrival and settling in
You set up your mat, get comfortable, and we do a brief grounding check-in. I'll explain the instruments and what to expect. No pressure, no performance.
The journey
I layer sounds, building and releasing in waves. Your only job is to breathe and let go. Thoughts will come. That's normal. Let them drift past like clouds.
The close
I bring the volume and intensity down gradually, ending in near-silence.
Integration time
A few minutes of quiet silence before anyone moves. Then we come back slowly together.
What to bring
Comfort is the priority. It's the key to dropping in.
- A yoga mat or thick sleeping pad
- A blanket — your body temperature drops when you relax deeply
- A pillow or bolster for under your knees or head
- An eye mask if you have one
- Water for after
- An open mind — that's genuinely all you need
